Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Root Color Touch-Up.

Most touch-up appointments take 30–60 minutes, depending on regrowth amount, hair density, and whether a toner or gloss is added. Your stylist assesses and provides a precise timeframe when you arrive.

Coverage varies by hair texture, porosity, and gray resistance. In many cases grays are fully covered, but very resistant grays may need stronger formulation or a follow-up. Your stylist will recommend the best approach.

Frequency depends on your growth rate and preferences, typically every 4–8 weeks. Fine regrowth or subtle blends may extend time between visits. We customize a schedule to keep your color looking seamless.

A touch-up is designed to match and refresh your existing shade rather than alter it. If you want a noticeable shade change or lightening, a full color service or consultation will be recommended.

In some cases a brief toner or gloss is included to perfect the match, but extensive toning may be a separate add-on. Your stylist will advise and outline any additional costs before proceeding.

Arrive with clean, dry, and detangled hair if possible, and bring details of your last color service. New clients may require a consultation or patch test to ensure optimal and safe results.
